Lance Dewease Dominates Dream Race at Port Royal to take Home over $10,000

Jul 28, 2018

“Port Royal is no stranger to seeing Lance Dewease in victory lane. Dewease has been more than good at the track his entire career and somehow it seems he’s gotten even better after teaming up with Don Kreitz and Davey Brown. Dewease shared the front row of the Living Legends Dream Race with Danny Dietrich. Dietrich started on the pole and jumped out to the lead on the start. Dewease held onto second and Brock Zearfoss got up to third from his fourth starting spot. The top three were just separating themselves from the rest of the field when the caution flag came out on lap three. Dietrich held onto his lead on the restart but Dewease stayed close getting by Danny and taking the lead on lap 12. Once Dewease took the lead he was on rails and pulled away from the field. Lance had a four second advantage over the field with three laps to go. That lead increased to 5.398 seconds as he crossed the line on lap 35 to take the checkered flag and $10,000 prize (Dewease also earned $2,000 for his semi-feature win earlier in the night). Dietrich and Zearfoss had a great battle for second with Zearfoss taking the spot on lap 24 and Danny getting it back on the last lap. Brock held onto third. Freddie Rahmer finished fourth and World of Outlaws regular, Logan Schuchart, rounded out the top five.”
