Lance Dewease’s dream season with Don Kreitz Jr. and Davey Brown Sr. continued Saturday night at Port Royal Speedway … literally.

The trio has been dubbed the “Dream Team.” Rightly so, considering Kreitz and Brown have already been enshrined in the Sprint Car Hall of Fame, and Dewease is sure to follow real soon.

And they continued to live up to the lofty billing in a Saturday night jaunt around Port Royal Speedway.

Dewease won a tight battle with Stevie Smith to capture the Living Legends Dream Race. This particular triumph, Dewease’s ninth in 17 races in 2016, was worth a hefty $12,510 first-place paydaywilso.

“This is about the only race I’ve never won here, and I’m really thankful to finally win it,” Dewease said after his 99th career win at the Juniata County oval.

“It was a tricky track tonight. I got Stevie on that restart and was kind of floating the top. I knew sooner or later, the top wasn’t going to be good, and he got around me and moved to the bottom.”
