It was a familiar sight for the World of Outlaws regulars at Williams Grove Speedway Friday night.

You had to go back a while. Like to the early 2000s to see that powder blue No. 69K running up front and keeping the big money at home.

Don Kreitz Jr. was the orchestrator of those romps. Now, it’s Lance Dewease flying Kreitz colors and leaving the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series contingent scratching their heads.

Dewease made a pair of power moves to dispose of Daryn Pittman and Greg Hodnett on his way to capturing the 25-lap World of Outlaws A-Main, much to the pleasure of the hometown crowd. He earned $8,000.

“This shows what good equipment, good cars and two of the best mechanics around can do,” said Dewease after his second straight win at the Grove. “I’m just blessed to drive this thing.

“This feels great. It’s been a long time coming, and I can’t thank Don and Linda [Kreitz] and Davey [Brown] enough. These guys prepared over the winter, and we are going to run 30 shows. That suits them, and it suits me. It helps us stay fresh.”

And real fast.
